Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Adobo seasoning
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tbsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet or pan, sauté the ground meat over medium-high heat until halfway cooked. Remove from heat and drain excess grease if necessary.
  2. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and olive oil to the pan with the partially cooked meat. Sauté until the meat is fully cooked and the onions are soft.
  3. Add water, beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, bay leaves, Adobo seasoning, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  4. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni, ensuring everything is well mixed. Cover again and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
  6. Remove the bay leaves from the skillet.
  7. Stir in the cheddar cheese until fully melted and combined.
  8. Right before serving, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Serve and enjoy!
