New Orleans Yakamein 🍲

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef pot roast, chopped
  • 1 box beef broth
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • Beef bouillon
  • Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • Louisiana hot sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • 6 eggs, boiled
  • 2 cups green onions, chopped
  • 1 box thin spaghetti noodles
  • Tony’s Creole seasoning

To Start:

  1. Boil the noodles and set aside.
  2. Boil the eggs, peel, and set aside.
  3. Chop green onions for garnish and set aside.

In the Pot:

  1. Brown the seasoning blend (onion, bell pepper, and garlic) in a pot with a teaspoon of butter.
  2. Add the chopped beef roast and season with about 2 teaspoons of Tony’s Creole seasoning.
  3. Cook down for about 25 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth and beef bouillon. Cover and let cook for 1 hour.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add 2 teaspoons hot sauce, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 cup soy sauce.
  6. Cover and cook for another hour.

To Serve:

  1. Serve the broth and beef over the cooked noodles.
  2. Top with boiled eggs and chopped green onions.
  3. Optional: Add shrimp on top.

Enjoy! Adjust seasoning to taste—less salty, less soy sauce, or less spicy by reducing hot sauce.
